Episode 46 | How to Leverage Capitalism to 'Love One Another'
Gilbert and Brittnee Gonzalez
Despite its indisputable record of improving standards of living for the poorest of people throughout human history, free market capitalism is all too often demonized – ignorantly – in 21st century American culture. In the Christian community, anti-capitalist Christians refer to 1 Timothy 6:10 which states “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil…” (NIV) in their condemnation of economic liberty because they ignorantly equate capitalism with the love of money.
Yet Christian entrepreneurs Gilbert and Brittnee Gonzalez are shattering that ignorance one sale at a time through a business venture called Trail Forty. The Gonzalezes are passionate about following Christ’s command to “love one another” (John 13:34) on a daily basis – and they’re leveraging capitalism to follow His command to an ever-increasing extent.
Christian or not, you’ll never think of capitalism in the same way after listening to Episode 46!
