Tim Allen

TimAllenTim Allen is passionate about building independence into his life and career path. He evaluates every opportunity in light of his desire to remain as independent as possible.

Tim grew up in upstate New York where he also attended college for engineering. While in college, he worked at a swimming pool liner manufacturer – and saw opportunity for change and advancement throughout the company. Following graduation, Tim slowly rose through the ranks of various factory positions – and finally got his lucky break by accepting new position with the company in Canada. There, he helped facilitate a new quality control process, and helped invent new manufacturing processes and equipment to aid in manufacturing. Tim also helped to develop new software programs and devices to eliminate waste and streamline production and reporting processes.

His success in Canada led him to start a manufacturing facility of his own in Tennessee at the age of 25. There, he gained experience in large scale business management. His passion for technology and automation coupled with a knack for helping other manufacturers – and Tim realized that he could do still bigger things. He initially joined an automation company that specialized in implementing robotic cutting systems across all manufacturing industries, but ultimately decided to strike out on his own.

In 2013, Tim founded Independent Cutting Supply, a company that serves the automation industry with consumables, service, and consulting. He continues to pour his talents and energy into his business today and is experiencing awesome personal and business growth.

Tim is driven by doing what he is told is not possible. He has left his mark on hundreds of companies and organizations, including NASA and GE, and is passionate about customer service. Outside of work Tim enjoys spending time with his son and fiancé, inventing gadgets, investigating new technologies, camping, long range shooting, making wine, barbecuing with friends, and looking for the next concept that will allow him to keep doing his thing.
