America has been called the land of opportunity – and it provided Episode 14’s guests the opportunity to escape bureaucracy in pursuit of better lives. In the first half of the show, Ross speaks with Spencer Smith – a former vice president of a Fortune 100 company – about his choice to leave the bureaucracy of the corporate world in order to embrace the freedom to “do his thing” in life as an entrepreneur. In the second half of the show, Ross speaks with former citizen of the Socialist Republic of Romania Ciprian Arcalean about his life under communism – and about why Ciprian now loves to exercise his liberties as an American citizen.
